I'm getting married soon and am looking for an officiant. I was suprised how much they charge....what are your experiences? They have had been quoted $325 - $500...is this normal?

I think ours was $400, or right around that price. We were quoted up to $700!! We used Michael Callahan - he did a great job. I would definitely recommend him.

We had a rabbi and a reverand and we payed them each $375 for a total of $750.

Our minister from our Unitarian Fellowship charges $400 but meets with you at least 4 times to talk about your relationship and write the ceremony with you.

I've been quoted $350 - $500...the officiant we're using is charging $475.00.

My officiate is charging $425. So your quote is about right.

Wow, looks as though we're paying quite a bit. Our Rabbi's fee is $600 and our Priest is also $600.

our interfaith reverend cost us $400. he did good job. he def wasn't boring or anything. he was able to pick up the crowd if there were to be a silent snag. he did a few other friends' and fam's ceremony also. His name's Rev George Herzog. nice guy. =)

Ours is charging $475. It includes an extra $100 or so for travelling to Westchester.

Pastor Mike charged us $350. I believe Reverend Callahan asked for $500.

Our cantor was $500 and the minister was $350!! Take a look at my review to see what a wonderful job that cantor did!!

I'm paying $500. He was recommended to us by our catering hall (East Wind). He's one of those people we 'need' to have that day, so it was worth it for us.

Our first officiant charged me $275. But we didn't go with his church (pictures will come out too dark). Our current officiant charges $150 for performing our ceremony and for 3 counseling sessions.

All of the quotes I got were between $300-$500. We haven't decided on one yet. Any recommendations to my FM much appreciated. We have already written the ceremony and just need someone willing to go with that.

Im paying 300- but i heard that you can use it as a tax write off at the end of the year. Maybe even the pre-cana fee.
