How much do plan to spend on your dress?

With accessories of course. I just went looking for my first time today and the dress I really liked was less than I thought it would be.

ETA: How many places did everyone contact to get prices?

Mine was less than I thought it would be too!! After alterations and accessories, I think it will be under 2k.

wow!! that's awesome. it's always better when something is less expensive than you thought it was going to be!

Mine is also $700 so i'm hoping for under 1k but i think it might be more since I ordered extra fabric with which I plan to have a jacket made. My guess is closer to 1500.

i heard one of the dresses i liked is 1,100 which is more than i was really looking to spend but still not bad... but i have only tried on 2 dresses at a local shop so far.. so i may find something i like more that is cheaper.. i'm think anywhere from $700-1,500 with alterations..

Haha, I'm sure I have some magic beans around here somewhere!

I really do love that dress, but I don't think it would fit me I'll a street size 10, and I know dresses run extra small.

I ended up spending alot, but my FH wanted me to be happy. I have a little sticker shock sometimes when i think of the overall price
dress, tax, alertations, veil, headpiece, shoes, undergarments...but i am happy and that is all that matters

If i estimate correctly it will be about 6k after i purchase everything

we bargained as best as we couldnt, and they matched the alterations price of another store.
and i got 15% off my dress. Only thing is we have to pay tax , no getting out of that

I have to agree........I dont see spending the money that could go to so many other things on a wedding dress there are so many gorgeous ones that are under 1000

mine is $3400 with tax but before any alterations.

my veil is going to be $700, but i am not using any additional had pieces or clips - just orchids in my hair.

as far as jewelry - oy, we'll see how $$ is looking closer to the wedding!!
