I know that prices vary depending on what you want, but I'm trying to figure out a budget if I don't go with one of these package. Is 7000 a reasonable budget for DJ, photography, and flowers???

flowers as in centerpeices wat does the dj photo come with
well being a winter bride always helps so i can tell you what i have... i have a band so no help there but you can get a fab dj package for $1k flowers...i am paying $2700..keep in mind that i have 25 table centerpeices, a 14 adult/6 kid bp and all the family and extra floral arrangements for place card tables and the alter and all that stuff
and i am paying under $4k for 2 photogs and 1 videog plus album and prints and cds and all the extras...

I've been researching this... decent DJ's with reasonable packages can be 2500-3000...give or take. Photographer... mine was like 4000-5000 (but you probably can find it for less).... that together is about 7000... without including the flowers. But it really depends on what scale you want everything and how much you want. You can always scale things down to be more cost efficient. I would say 7000 might be a little hard to do if you want a lot of things... 10,000 might be a slightly safer number... I'm sure you can do it for 7000 but it will be a lot of searching and giving up things you might want. Perhaps you might get good package deals if you go to a wedding center where they do everything rather than booking it all seperately. Then you might have a better chance at 7000 for all 3.
All the wedding books that quote prices for anything are sooooo far off for NY!!!!!

it is doable!!
Flowers we ended up saving on because we used candles and bud vases woth tulips. We had to by the flowers in bunches. But I know some places charge like $50 upwards to over $100 for 1 centerpiece!!! I'd say make sure to put the highest percentage towards your photogrpaher! That is the most important!
Thanks for the great tips! The reason I'm asking because I'm trying to narrow down between a RH with a package or some others that I love that don't have package. So I'm trying to figure what I'm looking at on both ends. (I also know that sometimes packages include the bare minimum and you wind up paying alot extra for all the things you want)
o dont worry! where theres a will theres a way....and without giving up quality too. Youd be surprised how many great vendors are out there for low prices. Most of these wedding vendors get a name base and think they can charge thousands because they are 'popular'. its all garbage. I am so glad i found this site because its has saved me soooo much money. i am truly having the wedding of my dreams and its being paid for by me and fh....with cash only...no cc debt! It feels great. this is what we're here for! to help our fellow brides get good deals

mine combined was a few thousand more, but that was in July and completely depends on packages.. you could definitely do for 7k if you shop around.

You can ABSOLUTELY do it.
It depends on various factors- do you want 1 photographer or 2, same for video- 1 or 2...albums, editing, movie trailers, HD, blueray....my point is that it all depends on what you want to get.
You can get great quality vendors but stick to the basic packages....had I done that using my same vendors, the breakout would have been $1,850 for photo, $1100 for video and $900 for DJ (I'm using the quote I've heard for FM entertainment).
Good luck! I would personally stay away from the package deals offered by the Hall, choice is important and you can probably do better on your own.

Check out The Wedding Plaza in Floral Park. They have some great packages that incl, dj, limo, photo, video, flowers, tuxs. They will work with you - the package isnt written in stone. If you want to delete or add something they are will to do it.

i paid just under 2k for flowers, 4k for photos
we are having a band so i dont know about the dj

tehre are some places that have 'all inclusive packages' with flowers, photo, DJ, Video, Limos, invites and stuff that can run around 5-6k, just make sure you like their work
