How much do you pay for a haircut

I used to always wait until I was out on LI to get my $25 haircut instead of getting it cut in the city. Now that we're in London, I'm finding it really difficult to find a decently priced salon. I've been paying £45 for a haircut - which is about $85 for a wash cut and blowdry.

I know people who drop a couple hundred dollars every time they go to the salon, but I cringe everytime I have to go and put off getting my haircut. My DH says I'm worth it and just suck it up, but I can't help but wish I could find a decent place that's much cheaper. I mean, it grows back so quickly!!! Am I just a cheapskate???

i pay $44, cut and blowdry. i don't think its that expensive, considering i only go every 3 months or so.

I try to keep it cheap. I usually go to Astor Place, it's about $20. Takes about 1/2 an hour. My haircuts are pretty simple, and I only cut it twice a year or so. I splurged on an 'expensive' haircut last year, $100 at a somewhat fancy salon in my neighborhood. I did like it better- the guy cut my hair standing up, so he could make sure it was even. But I'm the only one that notices, so i'm not sure it was worth the splurge. And the expensive place took WAY longer.

$35 and I go every 6-8 weeks.

I hear you, I hate the thought of spending $$$$ at a salon (hence why I butcher my own color all the time ).

ETA: Didn't you think you needed a haircut already back in mid-June????

Mine costs about $20 and I am really bad, I only go once or twice a year!

I got it cut on Saturday - shaped a bit differently so it grows out okay.

I pay $45 in Manhattan & I like it beter thatn the $35 place I used to go to in Yonkers.
The places in my new neighborhood(in Westchester) charge around $85, I think.

I go about every 3-4 months ( I am in desperate need of a haircut right now), but with short hair, cost becomes more of an issue, because you have to go more frequently.

Money is no object when it comes to my beauty

Just kidding....I pay about $30 for a wash, cut and blowdry. I think $85 IS a lot to pay for a cut, but I know lots of people are willing to pay that. I don't even pay the extra $20 for a blowout when I get highlights if I haven't had a haircut, but maybe I am cheap

I pay $80 in Manhattan, but honestly I'm going to stop going there. She does nothing special for that kind of money.

I'm actually looking for a new place where I know I can pay 1/2 that and still get an amazing cut.

i pay about 35 and i get a cut and blow dry. I got about every 3 months

My place just upped their price and now it's $45. I go every 3-5 months. Usually it's around 4, sometimes I go past 5 though!

I paid $95 for my haircut. It is a lot of money, but I will go back because I was so happy with the results.

Before tip I pay $70 for wash, cut and blowdry...thats not so bad considering when I worked in the city I would get my haircut at Bumble & Bumble...they would charge me $150 for a wash cut and blowdry...after the tip I was over $200...but I always LOVED how my hair came out...
