How much do you pay for basic cable?

We are just over planners trying to figure out how much we're going to be putting out monthly for our apartment with all the extra stuff.

We will just want basic cable. Or a basic package through whichever service.

I use cablevision. we're paying for 3 service 99+10 for DVR

oo i'm good at this! (i used to at cablevision! hhahah)
they're 'family' service, which is essentially basic, with all 3 for the 1st year is the $99 + 7 per box that you have. only tv is taxed, not phone or internet.
they offer a really basic service but the other 2 are at full cost.
after the 1st year (and this is based off this year's pricing)
the family ends up being 58+10.95 (family + digital services-which you need to have, its a ripoff) plus however many boxes, phone is 20 and internet is 45.

first bill is ALWAYS pro-rated and ends up being anything from your 1st month + a few days or 2 months, depending on your area. they're billing isn't great. every area has a set date when their bills goes out, its not dependent by person or based off of when you get installed. if you're installed on the 7th and your cycle starts the 1st, you're first bill is covering from the 7th to the 1st and then the 1st through the 30th. its stupid stupid stupid.

just something to be aware of, you're 1st bill may be through the roof, i hate when people get blindsided with it. it ***** that the salespeople never tell you that either.
