I usually spend about $80-$100 per week depending on what we need. There are times when I can go 2 weeks between shopping trips, but there are also times when I go for just a few things and spend $50. So I guess I would say that I average about $80 per week for 2 people.

Suzanne, buy yourself a nice coupon organizer at a stationery store that way you'll be organized. Clip them as soon as possible when you get the paper so you're organized when you're ready to shop. Make a list of the essentials that you need no matter what, then tailor your menu for the week (to a point, of course) to what the good deals are. If ground turkey is on sale, have turkey meatloaf that week. (I'll post my recipe.) Make a list according to the store's flyer and the coupons that you have. Make a note next to each item on your list if you have a coupon for it. Also, keep all the coupons you're using for that week in one spot so you're not scrambling for them.

Start with this and you'll be saving money in no time. Put it in your house instead.

Maybe $60 a week, maybe a little more on average. I don't keep track. I live in the city and just drop in whenever I need something. We go to the farmers market every once in a while and the health food store occasionally. I buy vegetarian/organic food...We also eat out once a week for breakfast and about once a week for dinner.
