How much do you tip each vendor?

My Fiance wants to know how much he is expected to tip each vendor. Anyone have a list of who you are supposed to tip and how much?

- Florist
- Band
- Video/photo
- hall

But how much?

Great question girls, I was wondering the same thing. I think I am going to estimate btwn 10-20 percent for each, but I'm not sure if that's right or even 'standard'??

I heard approx. $2-5 per guest, for the Banquet Manager of the reception hall. Does this sound right to anyone?! I have no clue!

Yes, that is what I thought! But honestly, I have no clue whatsoever what would be appropriate!

we tipped...
DJ- $100
DJ asst- $50
Photographer- $100
Videographer- $100
Limo drivers- $75
Maitre d'- $500 or 600 (my father took care of that)
And I think there were tip jars at the bars for the bartenders...

all this tipping really adds up...

oh yeah...
hair- $50 (I think)
makeup-$50

My Banquet Manager said $200 for him (so about $2 per guest).

(That was after we had asked if all the waiter tips were included in the package, along with any other extra costs.)

If DJ, photographer and videographer are all owners of their companies and working my wedding, do I still give them about $100 each as tip?

What about their assistants?????

My photographer works for herself and so, I think I'm not going to tip her. We're already paying a lot for her.

Definitely cash for the tips!

This is what we did:
BM - $3 pp
Hostess - $75
Videographer - $100
Assistant - $50
Photographer - $100
MC - $100
DJ - $50
Makeup Artist - $65 (for me, mom & sister)
Hairstylist - $20
Flower Delivery Person - $40
Limo Drivers - $50

Videographer, Photographer, MC, hair stylist & makeup artist were all the owners of their companies and I tipped anyway.

We just started talking about this. This is what we're thinking:

Maitre d': $450 (~220 at the wedding so just over $2pp)
Photographers: $50 each, $25 to the assistant
DJ/MC: $50 each
Florist Delivery: $20
Transporation (vans from transportation company - drop off only): $15 each van

If there is a bridal attendant: $30
If the $450 isn't split, $30-40 for each bartender

Who we're not tipping (all sole owners of business)
Harpist
Officiant
Hair
Makeup

We have 2 photographers and an assitant. We're doing $50 each photographer and $25 for the assistant. Given how much we're paying, I think this is going above and beyond.
