Re: How much do you tip the bridal attendant?

I think it really depends on what exactly she does. If she's there and just kind of follows you around or keeps an eye hink $50-75 is sufficient. If she fixes your dress, makes sure you always have a fresh drink, keeps you on your schedule, etc... than I would probably tip more in the range of $100-200.

Re: How much do you tip the bridal attendant?

I was told $3-4 a head for the maitre d' and $1-2 for the bridal attendant.

Re: How much do you tip the bridal attendant?

I think the per head stuff is more of a guideline than anything else. People should be tipped based on good service, not because you're 'supposed' to.

Re: How much do you tip the bridal attendant?

I thought that the 18% service charge goes toward the tip of the bridal attendant and that you only had to tip the maitre 'd ???? What gives??? I am getting sick of tipping!!!

Re: How much do you tip the bridal attendant?

The Bridal Attendant is not a per-head gratuity because she has nothing to do with the guests. She is there to help the bride in the bridal suite. The guests have nothing to gain from her presence, unlike the maitre-d. My daughter's bridal attendant was around during the cocktail hour and just for her entrance into the reception - no more. She was very, very sweet but said good-bye to us very early in the evening.
Woodbury CC recommended we give $50, although I think my daughter gave her more. She didn't do that much, but she was young, bubbly and a very nice person to have around when they were arriving and settling in.
The tips definitely get out of control and don't let anyone tell you the Banquet Manager who booked your affair deserves a tip. He is very well salaried and on commission. We were told by the management not to give him anything even though he hinted at it several times while planning the wedding.

Re: How much do you tip the bridal attendant?

I think I gave her $100. I would have given her more, but I wasn't even sure if I would have one.
She was amazing though....everytime I turned around looking for something, she was there to help, and yet, she was never in the way. And he had to put up with my 2 horny brothers hitting on her mercilessly....she was amazing!!! she deserved much more than i gave her, but i had all of the tips figured out before the day of, so there was nothing i could do at that point!
