How much do you usually spend on a shower gift....

You guys are all generous. I certainly don't spend that much. Those are more of wedding gifts for me on the higher end prices! wow

i spend $100 if it's someone very close to me $75 otherwise!

it really depends. I spend $100 for friends i'm okay with, $150-$200 for close friends, and $400-$500 for family. That is also the amount people spent at my shower......with the exception of a few people who i was extremely shockeddd about (3 people gave $40 each, meanwhile my mom paid $45 per plate, anddd my favor was Kosta Boda votive)...they made out well!

yeah pretty much, even if im not that close with the person i personally dont spend under $100.

some one i dont know personal went to fh cousin's daughter- never met her till day of shower - 50-75

friend & Family 100-150

then we give nice cards at the wedding

Minimu $75 - more if it for someone close though. For family we usually all chip in and get big ticket items.

I agree, these is definitely on the high end of what I give and what I received at my shower. Most gifts were in the $50-100 range. The 'shower gifts' that I got that were in the $300-400, actually ended up being the wedding gift.
