How much does painting really cost.

I have two small connected rooms (vaulted ceilings) but really the total square footage of my house is only 750 so these are the the two biggest rooms but still quite small.

I really can't imagine that this would cost 700+ but everyone is telling me it will. I could see 400$.

Any painter recommendations?

It depends on who you use. We got a price quote of over 5grand to paint the entire instead of my high ranch and we decided to paint it ourselves...10 mths later and still only half done I found a painter.
My cousin actually used him and she was raving non stop about him. She has a beautiful house in Biltmore shore and he was recommeded to her by someone with a multi million dollar home on the north shore.
The best part about it is he is cheap and fast.

He quoted me 650 including all ben moore paint for my entire down stairs and kitchen and bathroom and stripping a border off one room. This also includded all trim and door/door frames (previous owner never painted a door frame)
He actually hasnt done my house yet I kinda pushed it back til november since I now have to replace my roof and $ is tight
