I just saw the vera bradley post for the BM gifts, & I LOVE the idea but I want to buy them jewelry for the day of too. Can you ladies tell me approx how much you plan on spending on each BM for their gifts? TIA!

Re: How much for BM gifts?
Not much because we are on a budget but I found these super cute little metal buckets at the DOLLARTREE that have gerber daisys (our flower) on them. I am going to fill them with mini manicure kits, clear nail polish, their favorite candy, lipgloss, mints in cute tins (on sale from Bath and Body Works) and a . Total cost= 12.00.
Note WE paid for their dresses (3 Bms are my younger cousins-oldest is 18 so that's their gift.) My MOH is getting more-possibly jewelry and definately a mirrored compact and photo make-up bag.

Re: How much for BM gifts?
My four girls are like family so I'm really not looking at a $ amount. I just want to thank them for being there for us. That being said with make-up, hair and gifts it will probably be $150 - $200 but worth every penny!

Re: How much for BM gifts?
Thanks so much for your input. I'm debating on whether to get them jewelry for the day of and another big gift, or the jewelry and a couple smaller gifts. I have 6 BM's & can't spend a fortune, maybe like $100-$150 each?

thats what I did... I have 2 BMs and a MOH, 2 GM and a BestMan.
The girls all got pearl necklaces, pearl and swarovski crystal earrings, a wristlet, a pashmina, and an evening bag for the day of.
The guys all got Citizen Eco-Drive watches. (they never need a battery, and they're awesome! )

Re: How much for BM gifts?
I found an evening bag that goes with the girls dresses beautifully, but I changed my mind b/c I didn't want them to get their bags mixed up. But it was so beautiful! Maybe I should just get it for my MOH? Any thoughts?

Re: How much for BM gifts?
I have 8 girls so I am tring to be thrifty but not chinzy. They are getting bath robes, a tote with thier name embrodered on it, a silver heart compact with their name on it and their day of jewelry, which will most likely by a necklace they can wear everyday if they wanted to and a set of earrings. Total for all: $50-$70 each...but leaning more towards the $50, hopefully. I am most likey going to get my sister (MOH) a little something extra but I can't think of anything for her yet...don't even ask me about GM gifts, he has NO IDEA

Re: How much for BM gifts?
Hmm...This is a tough one...
I got them all (10) Swaroski necklaces, and my MOH swaroski necklace and earrings...Then I got them a bunch of stuff to throw in a cute gift bag like- tissues, compact brush, little dress note pads, luggage tags w/ there inital, mints.....
I want to get them like a make-up bag and some other goodies- and thats really it.
ETA: Cost of everything, I think alittle too much (But they are amazing girls- so why not show them some love) about 130 each.

Spend what you can afford on BM gifts. The value of the gift in no way reflects your friendship with these girls or anything else. If you can't afford to spend $100 per girl, then don't. You can still get something thoughtful and write a nice card.

Re: How much for BM gifts?
We're spending less than $100 on each girl (I'm glad we only have 2)...we're broke andpaying for everythign ourselves, and the BMs aren't really helping out much or planning nay parties for me or anything so theres no need to go over board with their gifts.

Re: How much for BM gifts?
Oh, and FWIW, we're spending way less than $100 on each girl. Our budget was $50-75 per person in our bridal party because we have 7 BMs and 7 GMs.
I lucked out because what I was able to get for $55-65 in China while there on business would have cost me over $1,000 per person here... However, even if I had not been able to get all this stuff in China, I would have only spent between $50-75 each girl. That's what we're doing for the GMs. My firm has a great discount deal and we get almost 50% Swiss Army stuff, so the guys are getting really nice Swiss Army knives that would otherwise be over $100 for about $55 each.
If you put some thought into it, you can get some really nice, useful, thoughtful gifts for well under $100 - even well under $50 if you can't afford $50. Keep an eye out on sales and go for a single nice gift (or two) rather than 'filler' stuff that adds up - like the lotions, extra bags, etc.
