I'm using a local florist. They were very willing to negotiate and we worked out the following:

1 bridal bouquet - all roses
3 BM bouquets
3 corsages
4 bouts (incl groom's) - callas
8 centerpieces - tall orchids

for about $500

Definitely do it! We had met with Pedestals and for the exact same things they said the LOWEST they could do was $1000! I am not a flower person so I was like HE11 NO! We just got up and walked out

• flower petals for the hand-held cones and for the aisle
• draping of the stairs to the 2nd floor
• decoration of the 3-tier cake with fresh flowers
• 2 mom corsage & 2 grandmother corsages
• 2 dad boutonnieres, 3 grandfather boutonnieres
• 1 Groom boutonniere
• 5 Groomsmen boutonnieres
• hanging Chuppah with Swarovski crystals, candles, flowers, and draping

I'm a bit frustrated because I keep hearing all these awesome quotes for burtons but they quoted me so high for less!

I asked for only 1 bm bok
bride bok
6 bouts
3 coursages
petals for fgs
18 cps
- I know they say it doesn't matter but none exotic or out of season...

and they quoted me over $2700... what's up with that??

If I were you, I'd email them from a different address and ask for the quote again. See what they say now. That is really strange!!!!

It seems definitely more worthwhile to go with a local florist? Any local florist recommendations?

I def saved in this area! I was soooo unwilling to spend a butt load on something that'll die.

Because I'm using Muffs instead of flowers for my girls, and candles for the CPs, all i need are:
1 bouquet for me
1 bouquet to toss
3 boutonnières
2 corsages

My local florist gave me an estimate of $120

That's what I got quoted from them as well... and that was for the low CPs... Soo.. I went to a local florst, got some exotic flowers added... flowers for the cake, taller CPs, FG baskets and petals...ETC and about 1K less!!
