Arghh..you guys are making me jealous. So far I've found only two dresses that I love and they're both $2700. I really do not want to spend that..I cannot afford it and my parents will be very unhappy if they have to spend that but I have found nothing else that I like. I'm very upset by this.

I think a lot of people who spent more money on their dress will be reluctant to post how much it cost. There was a poll a little while back and there were lots of people with 1000 and 2000 dollar and more dresses. If you love it, and the dress is important to you than its ok to spend money on it. I did.

I thought the $99 dresses at David's were total cr@p, but the Wedding Center in Commack sells all the discontinued dresses for $99, and they had hundreds, all sizes, many brand new.

If you have the money, I think it's OK to spend that much, but if you cannot afford it, there are plenty of nice dresses well under that. You could probably have a dressmaker replicate one for much less. It's five hours of your life. You'll never wear it again. It is important to love it, but put it in perspective if you cannot afford that much.
