What is a normal price for 1 photographer? Do you have to pay extra for albums?

Yes, you do pay extra for albums and it is really up to you whether you want one or two photogs.
I booked a photog in Brooklyn and we are paying $5500 for:
2 Parent albums 1 flush mount album for ourselves 1 album of 450 prints (just prints, nothing fancy) 1 photog and an assistant Engagement Shoot 12 Premium prints (various sizes) Retouching Thank you cards 1 videographer 3 dvd's guest interviews life montage honeymoon montage
I'm sure there is more I just don't remember everything we got in our package.

i had 2 photographers, and the package, that came with 2 parent albums and our album as well as a bunch of photos printed, and the video and my package was a little over 7k!

Personally, I feel like JT's house photographers are a little pricey, even though they're stunning. And yes, albums are extra.
We went with Duet and got 10.5 hours of coverage with 2 photogs (photojournalistic/traditional). We also got a disc with all of our edited/unedited photos, a couple of prints, a bride/groom album, 2 parent albums, and some other stuff that I can't remember for about $4k?

look into Thomas Paul also... his package is around 5k and includes a lot. I dont remember exactly what.. my contract is home but it is photo and video.

2 photographers and lighting assistant 2 5x7 Parent albums 1 magazine style album for us 12x12) Engagement Shoot 1 16x20 and 2 8x10 Plus 5x7s for the bridesmaids Thank you cards
