we are going tommorrow, what do I need to bring and do they only take money orders?

LI is $40 - Both need birth certificates and drivers license. Go to your towns clerks office.

Forty dollars.............you need a birth cert. and driver's license..........you can pay by cash.

oh no- I can't find my birth certificate, hopefully they take a passport.

we were told to bring our license and our SS Cards. It was $40

We went to the one in Farmingville and they would not accept a passport! So if you don't have your birth certificate...I would not go to that one!

We went to Manhasset and FH couldn't find his birth certificate so we gave our passport and drivers license...no problem.

We went to hemstead--it was a quick in and out, only needed a license and passport and $40. (we gave a check)
