How much is everone spending on flowers?

I keep hearing that flowers cost a lot more than what people expect. I only started thinking about flowers recently, and have not been to any venders.

It really depends on what you want... I'm not using flower centerpieces so the cost won't be as great, FOR FLOWERS, since I only need bouquets for myself, my moh, bouts and corsages/church... but all together it'll probably cost me a lot more than i had hoped..

do you know what you want?

Around $2000 for 12 high centerpieces, 5 boquets and a huppa. They are all going to be done with only roses.

If you haven't seen the book by Preston Bailey (the flower guy who was on Oprah who did the dream wedding for that couple on TV, he's also done Melissa River, and a ton of other celebs), you must pick it up.

He has a beautiful picture of placecards that are each attached to a gardenia, and gardenias have a very strong, pretty scent. It looks so beautiful! But, I was told that gardenias are expensive...is that true?

I'm using Bellmore flower shoppe.
