I keep hearing that flowers cost a lot more than what people expect. I only started thinking about flowers recently, and have not been to any venders.

that will probably get pricey..... u gonna put them in the girls bo-k's also? i am & narynes.... that's one of the reasons why my flowers are more expensive!

I am getting 5 bm boo-ks, my boo-k, jr BM, FG and 8 bouts, plus 5 corsages, and 18 candelabra centerpieces with roses and delphinium for around 2000. I am using Burton's.
There are many negative and positive posts about this vendor though.

hmmmm.... well hopefully my $2K budget for flowers will be enough! thanks for all your help! i'm about to start a new thread now.... i'm suddenly concerned about timing of this.
Kathy, yes gardenias are expensive.. I was going to incorporating them into my bouquet, but was told that they wouldn't make it through the day and probably be brown before the reception.

wow, i thought i got a great deal! $2723 mostly calla lillies
alter arrangements in baskets small baskets to hang from pews (NO pew bows) 16 centerpieces in low silver bowls (these were $85 each)
although now it seems like a lot, i looooove my florist!

we're budgeting for 1000 for flowers because we arent using floral centerpieces and for the church i only need 2 small things. FMIL is doing pew decorations.
so we are going to get
bridal bo-k 2 MOH's 3 BM's 12 boutineers throw away bo-k 2 small things for church 4 coursages
we're doing floating candles as centerpieces and we're getting everything from this candle outlet in PA.
We are budgeting 1000 for flowers

A little over $4000 (it will probably increase by $500 or so after I make my changes): 8 bouquets 9 boutonniere 4 corsages 2 large altar arrangements 10 pew bows 6 cocktail hour centerpieces (I need to increase this to 25) 16 recepetion centerpieces 2 decorated fireplaces (need to up this to 3) 4 ladies' room arrangements
My flowers consist mostly of hydrangeas and roses.

we paid about $2500 for:
19 high centerpieces (french tulips) dias arrangement 7 bouquets - Calla lillies, fressia, roses, tulips, stef tulle on the pews 2 church arrangements 2 mother corsages (orchids) 2 roses to give moms during ceremony 6 (?) other corsages (roses) 12-14 boutineers (some roses, some delphium orchids) gardenias on the cake and cocktail tables (no browning on any of them, but they weren't handled like a bouquet would be)

Then men won't have boutonierre's because they're not wearing tuxes....it's a medieval wedding.

Just over $800! Using all Roses. I need my bo-q, MOH Bo-k, 4 BM Bo-k's, Grooms bout, 3 GM bouts, 3 bouts for brothers & fathers, 2 FG baskets & petals, 4 corsages, 3 single long stem roses & 2 Large mum plants for ceremony.
