how much is everyone spending on their wedding favors?

I refuse to spend more than $2 per favor(not including my almonds and tulle)
it just seems like a total waste of money to me.
then again, if we could comfortably and easily afford at least $10 a favor... that'd be differant because there would be a lot more useful things to choose from.

i've never heard that the average is more than $5 a couple, is that just for Long Island?

I am a cheapo too. Mine will be about $3. $4.50 after wrapping and all.

my mom is just big on favors and 'goody bags'
she did it for my sister's wedding too

I got boxed calla lily boquet candles on ebay!! seller has great stuff!!!
but we might change it...lol i found a great store that had gift box sets of candles for $1 each!!! i gotta take steve there. What were the favors you saw??

I am going to a wedding in Oct and she has a cala lilly theme. I will scope out some ideas for you to steal--haha

well if you girls are thinking of candles a new place just opened by me ( in levittown) called crazy candles all their favors are $1 each!!!

they are on newbridge rd by holy trinity

we're doing a donation to cancer research in my FH's mother's name. she passed away before i even met him.

my sister is going to make little scrolls explaining what we're doing and we'll put them on the tables
OR
we'll get a frame and put her picture and the scroll in it and put 1 on each table

We never purchased favors. We had a candy buffet instead and it was a HUGE hit!! Everyone LOVED it and we saved so much money doing it this way

It does seem a bit on the high end..... depending on number of guests. I'm having 150-175, so, $10 isn't too bad to me, but, if you're having 300..... then, shelling out another $3k on favors is a lot!!!

ETA: Wait, that's per person, but, still..... figure with 300 people, you're probably giving 200ish favors, so, it would be 2k, but, still, a lot!

yea i guess that makes sense.. i just always assumed people paid 3-5 each but i guess if that is per person.. that is about the same too
