We wanted a nice honeymoon but are goal was not to go crazy with cost and I feel like is has all added up quickly. So I wanted to know what everyone is spending. Our honeymoon is a 12 day cruise with airfare costing us $4600. That does include food but doesn’t include transfers, drinks, spending money, excursions, tips, and hotel if we decide to go before the day of cruise or stay a day after cruise. Our honeymoon falls during Easter time raising the cost of everything more than normal. How much are you all spending?

Under 5k. Doing a 7night cruise and spending a week in FL (maybe Disney or Miami)

If you can do it, this is the time to treat yourselves - there will be plenty of opportunities in your future for real budget vacations! We're going to France and England, probably spending 4K just in airfare, hotels, and travel once we're there, plus food, spending money, admission fees, etc. If you're worried about money, try to keep your drinking to a minimum - that seems to be the easiest way for cruise cost to go up. Promise yourselves just one bottle of wine each night at dinner and just a cocktail or two each by the pool each day! Where are you cruising to? 12 days seems like such a great treat!
We are going to the following ports; Fort Lauderdale, Florida, George Town, Grand Cayman, Cartagena, Colombia, Colon, Panama, Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, Roatan, Honduras, Cozumel, Mexico, Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Actually FH does not drink at all, and i will not go crazy prob two drinks a day by the pool and not with dinner. We have had it booked for awhile and im happy with it, just being cheap lol.

Same here! FH and I just got around $850 back from Liberty Travel for a promotion that they were running so we're around $4k now!!!

wow!! how did you do it?? i was hoping to spend around $3500 but we want to go to belgium, and now looking at the flights, that is like at least half, if not more than half of our budget just for airfare!!

Hopefully not much more than $3K. We are spending 10 days in Greece through our RH. All we have to pay for is airfare which we are budgeting $2K for. Then for food and spending money, hopefully no more than $1K.

I did it through Priceline. I was shocked to get the price we got too!! We have a connection in Switzerland so we saved some money on the flight that way and we also get to spend the day and night in Switzerland!

No you're able to pick your dates and even what time of the day you'd prefer to fly. It's just like Travelocity. By booking the flight and hotel together you're able to save a lot.
You may be thinking of Hotire which you save a lot but you don't know what hotel you're staying in until after you purchase. For that you put in the area you'd like to stay and how many stars in the search.

Hopefully no more than $5k - which includes everything (meals, hotel, drinks, airfare, etc). We priced out the place we want to stay so now it just depends on airfare.

Yea I wouldn't like that! I think priceline used to be like that (back in the day) but they must not do that anymore. thanks for the tip!!

Bora Bora (overwater bungalow) and Moorea (garden bungalow with private pool). Also about 30 hours in LA. We will be gone for about 18 days, spending about 14 of them between Bora Bora and Moorea and then 1 day in LA then 2 days of travel (one each way pretty much)... for both of us with air fare from cali.. its between 8200 and 8400. it was 8600 but we added nights which made it lower (strangely enough!). Ahh and then add on the deposit we gave of about 550. i forgot about that.
CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Add on the Cali hotel and of course spending, drinking, and excursion money.

Don't know how much yet. We want to go to Fiji for 2 weeks. My sister and her husband are giving is their Hilton timeshare so we'll probably just need to spend money on airfare, food and activities.

We are going on our honeymoon in winter of 2011 because FH's work schedule won't allow him to take off 1 week or more around the time we get married (Oct. 2010). This will give us more time to save up extra $$ for it.
Also, we may consider having guests contribute to our honeymoon as a gift instead of registering at Macys, Bed Bath & Beyond, et al...We already live together and have homes in our names before we met so right now its just a question of working out who will pay for what and when..

it would have been a lot more but a friend of FH's paid for all of our hotel stay so since we only paid for airfare.....we only paid approx $5500. We went to Malta
