to ask your flower girls (actually, their parents) to spend on a dress. I fell in love with a dress at Bridal Reflections that is $190. It's more than my BMs are spending! Is that too much to ask? I have major guilt.
I'm also way behind in ordering ...

IMO I think that's too much. I don't think I'd even ask my BM's to pay that much. If you really love it though, who's to stop you? Offer to pay for 1/2 and if the parents feel offended that you offered then I guess they don't mind paying the full amount themselves.

I would say, 'this dress is more than typical FG dresses. I fell in love with it, but I don't want to ask that much of you. I would like to pay for half of the dress.' If they want to pay for it, then let them.

Thanks everyone for your responses. My flower girl dress meltdown is near over. The FG moms don't want me to pay half - I think it's a pride thing. Nevertheless I'm going back to the drawing board to find a cheaper dress. I'm on the hunt this weekend. Wish me luck!!!

IMO that is too much to ask for a FG to pay for a dress...I am personally get my FG dress at Tri-County Flea Market for $60...I am paying for her dress

I think that is too much. I would be uncomfortable asking them to pay more than $100.
