Finally found one that I liked last night but it was $255 before tax and I don't know if its too much or not?

i would ask your girls what they think...because when you add shoes makeup hair nails and a gift it can be a bit much but if all your girls agree that they love the dress and are wiling to spend the money then go for it

I would ask your bm. Some may think its too much some may thnk it's fine. Just be sure to ask...

i think is a lot....just because its not the only thing they are spending money on......does that price include alterations?
mine were i think $195 without alterations, the alteration cap was $50 i think....even that i felt was a lot of money so i felt bad.....
it depends on the girls though, feel them out and see what they say....just remember that they will probably have to also pay for their shoes, nails, hair, make up, your bridal shower and bridal shower gift, bachelorette outing, all those things really add up....
ETS: if it was me, i rather pay 255 for a dress i really liked than pay 150 for a dress i didnt like....kwim? i rather spend more and look good, than look like a farty bridesmaid so im sure that will come into play too - depending on how much they like the dress....
My girls are paying $150.00. I did not want them spending more then that.

My sister (moh) said the price was fine.. she loved the dress... One of the other BM's had me spend $225 on a dress for her wedding so I wouldnt feel bad!!! I just have to check with the others.
Of course the ONLY dress that we like has to be expensive

I would talk to your BMs about it... If I was a BM and I really really liked the dress then I wouldn't mind spending the money but some people definiteily might!

I think spending that much is pretty normal right now. Mine were 240 and they took 20 dollars off. none of the girls had a problem. They said it was no big deal we have over a year to pay it. I had more of a problem with it then they did. But I knew girls who paid over 300 for bm dresses before.
See how your girls feel and take it from there..

It depends like for me that would be to much to ask my girls I know they cant afford it. You got to also think theres alterations, your b party, the shower and the wedding

Also see if they have them where you got your dress. My bridal suite is giving me a discount on all the girls dresses since I got my dress there

The bridesmaid dress I loved was $280 plus tax. I didn't feel right asking my girls to pay that so I decided to pick up the cost of the dresses. They are paying the cost of alterations (which is capped) and will buy their shoes, etc. It was money I didn't expect to spend, but it made my girls happy and I got the dress I really wanted. After all, at this point, what's another $600.00.
ETA: This only worked because I am having a very small bridal party, but maybe you could split the cost with the girls or something.

That IS a lot for a BM dress but I would definitely talk to your girls and see what they think! They might think it's completely worth it if they love the way it looks but there are a lot more expenses for the BP than just dresses so I'd keep that in mind as well.

I dont think that is alot- think about how much you would spend on a dress if you were going to a very good friends wedding?? you know but it is always nice to ask first :)

I really was against the girls spending more than 150 but it was hard to find something for everyone- I have girls of all different sizes so we had to spend about 190 on the dress and a cap of 75 for alterations. I was a little upset that it was a little more than I wanted them to spend but they seemed fine with it. Just talk to them and ask what is the limit and go from there.
