I am trying to solidify our bridal party. So my question is how many is to many bridesmaid/ groomsmen?
Right now we are thinking of having
MOH/BM MOH/BM B/G B/G B/G B/G JUNIOR B RING BEARER FLOWER GIRL
We are inviting over 200 people. I just do not want there to be a processional of a million people but I do not want anyone hurt as well. All opinions/ideas are appreciated.

when it comes time to choose your BM dresses, the less girls you have, the better... i cant even get my 4 together to pick a freakin dress

I agree.....there are posts all the times of girls having issues with fittings, style, time, effort, etc. I'm only having my 2 cousins.

We had 1 MOH/1 Best Man 10 Bms, 10 gms, 2 jbs, 3 fgs, 3 rbs.....and not one issue. Everyone did everything they had to do, didnt even have to remind them for anything. That was our choice and we couldn' t pick and choose. It was all or nothing and we opted for all. We wanted all of them beside us on our special day.

1 MOH / 1 BM 4 BM / 4 GM 1 Jr BM 3 FG
While I do agree that more personalities to deal with = more crap to deal with... we couldn't have excluded anyone that we had without hurting feelings.

I think it really depneds on the personalities of the people you choose. I have
2MOH 2BM 1FG 1RB and.........9BM&9GM
So far I am doing ok with the exception of one bridesmaid.
I think as long as you set the record straight from the beginning you should be fine. Just keep in mind it can get costly

I don't think that is too much, especially for that many guests. If you were having only like 75 guest that I would say it would seem much. Besides, it's your wedding, you only do it once. Would you regret not having one of them in your bridal party?

Sorry so long...
This is really were it started everyone except for 1bridesmaid were in the original plan. I had a falling out with an ex-bridesmaid that was very nasty. My sister has stated that she wants nothing to do with my wedding. I have left her as part of it but we have not spoken since I started wedding planning. While it hurts me tremendously I guess I have to respect her decision even if I do not agree. My best friend from college I have not seen in two years. However we talk all the time. Also when me and my ex-bridesmaid had a falling out another friend really stepped up and is now going wedding dress shopping with me and really taking a role. I have no problem with having a large bridal party but my family does. They were upset already because my students were part of the wedding and now this is just the iicing on the cake.
Ok well now that I have vented... Thank you all for always making me feel calmer and having the ability to take a deep breathe!

I dont know youll say start with 6bm but some people when its time to buy the dress may drop out so sometimes you dont even end up with the number you start with. lol..but its totally up to you and it is a pain the more you have cuz everyone has an opinion of what looks better on them.
