i finally found a dress! but.. it's just way too much money! the attendant told me to try it on just to see the cap sleeves.. i just fell i LOVE with it.. i can probably get a similar dress for cheaper.. i just had NO intention of spending this amount of money on my dress.. did anyone else have the same problem? can anyone tell me around how much they spent?? is it worth to splurge!?

Have you checked out Recycled Bride, Once Wed, and Wore It Once. Maybe you can find a bride who wore the dress and is looking to sell it for a discount.
I never knew about any of these sites, now I feel *so* much better about my options. I really don't want to go over $1000 with everything in - I'm a good shopper but it seems like all wedding related things are priced crazily!

I decided to pay for my own dress...and my max was $2000. I ended up finding my dress and veil for around $1500
