...What do you think a good price range for BM dresses is? I LOVE the Jim Helm dresses that are/look similar to what stinenandy has (there are a few from that collection with the lace overlay) , but I dont know if they are too expensive...

IMO i'd say around $200. Figure after alterations the dress is really 260+.
I found 3 dresses that i LOVED from enzoani and of course they don't have prices. So i googled it and found it for 260 something!

Personally for me, I don't care how much the dress is for any of my friends/family weddings. This is their day and time to choose whatever they want, and I know with my wedding they feel the same. The Jim Hjelm dresses are expensive but I absolutely loved my dress and so did my girls.

I don't think I would ask my BMs to spend more than $200 on a dress...to me thats even pushing it. Most of my BMs will still be in college. My cousin and sister are even younger than that. So I know they cant afford something too expensive. I'm going to try and keep it as close to $100 or under as possible!

i would really love if the dress i choose is in the 150 range.....so far the dresses i've been looking at are in that range.....i don't want my girls spending more then that but thats just me......

i think $200 is the max. because then there are also alterations.
i will be looking more in the $150 range, so hopefully alterations will run no more than an additional $50...

The dress that I love is almost $300 and i feel SO guilty for loving something that expensive!!! (Esp. when your bridesmaid are saving for their own weddings and others dont have jobs yet!!)

i would have to say in the $150-$200 range because then you have alterations and shoes.
my BM dresses are $138 (or very close to that) and alterations are capped at $60, so they are spending $200. I felt bad making them spend a lot of money because 1 just got married, 1 is getting married a month after me, 1 is in college, the other 2 i'm not as concerned because they have the $.

I dont want anything over $200. I think its a lot to ask of people especially if they arent financially capable of footing a big bill.

anything over $200 is too much in my opinion, because you have to add $$ for alterations which can be $50+, and then hair/makeup/shoes also are an additional cost
