How much is your Bridal salon charging for Alterations???
I went to a bridal shop the other day and they had the dress that I want. That was the good part. Then the lady said that the alterations on any Bridal gown was $200 PLUS TAX?? and BM dresses was $59. Then we proceeded to ask what could they do for us if we got all the dresses from them. They said they could give us 10% off????
Anybody else have any luck with a better deal????

I think they said the cap on the alterations was $200, but the bustle is not included in that. I believe they also said 10% off the BM or MOB, MOG dresses, but I don't think we'll be getting any of that there.
Is the $$ they are charging you including the bustle? Or is that the cap?
My bustle will probably be about $90 alone!!

$150. $40 for the double cups. And the rest is for the bustle.

Thanks ladies, THere seems to be a lot of different things out there. I guess I really have to shop around. Boy I wish my cousin was still in the business!!!!! It would have made everything so much easier...

all i have to pay for is the bustle whihc is between 60-75. my alternations are included since I bought the dress there

alterations are 1 set price 175 (through Macy's) however I ordered my dress and signed all the paper work and a few days later I found out it went up....or it was not 1 set fee anymore

For my dress - $205. For the BM dresses - $65. Since the salon gave me a huge deal on my dresses, I really didn't fuss about it.

I really think this is crazy! Fees for alterations, but let me tell you--I negotiated my alteration fee! I found my dress at one bridal shop but I did not like the people or the place - cheezy!! etc.....they told me it took 6-9 months to get the dress in etc....so I went to the orginal bridal salon I started with and told them they have my dress at this Price, and their alterations are this much $$$ well, I got my dress LESS and they matched the alterations which were about $100 LESS --- and I don't remember the price!

uh, tax on alterations hmmm, I thought services weren't taxable......
