How much is your Bridal salon charging for Alterations???

I went to a bridal shop the other day and they had the dress that I want. That was the good part. Then the lady said that the alterations on any Bridal gown was $200 PLUS TAX?? and BM dresses was $59. Then we proceeded to ask what could they do for us if we got all the dresses from them. They said they could give us 10% off????

Anybody else have any luck with a better deal????

Mine are cap at 245 but I got my first fitting and all they had to do was take it up on the bottom. They did not charge me for that. They only thing I had to pay for was my bustle which was 95.

My alterations were $195 plus tax (including bustle).

They refunded me the price after screwing up my dress though...

nferrandi - I am with you - $400 at Kleinfeld's...it should include everything!

mine is free because I bought the dress there.

Mine is free too and so is my BMs alternations.

it does include everything! the seamstresses are great there too!

mine are capped at 350 plus 100 for the bustle.

It's alot but the seamstress is awesome so I don't care.

I am so naive. I can't believe how expensive the alterations can be! I'm imagining things such as details, beading, etc make this process increase in price?
