I'm paying $1,150! Granted $200 is a refundable 'late fee' but is that a lot or am I wrong to be a little annoyed with that price?

We are getting married at a church in New Rochelle- Shiloh Baptist Church. Apparently, Ruby Dee used to attend church there and someone else famous attended the church regularly, but I still don't see a reason for that price especially when my hall was only charging $700. But I wanted a church ceremony so I probably shouldn't complain.

We are paying $375 + $150 music +$150 vocalist (all mandatory) and then a $300 refundable late fee.

I'm paying somewhere in $600's...that includes organist/singer. That pisses me off cuz I'd MUCH rather hire outside musicians but I can't justify it when I'm already paying for them!

We're paying $950 -- that includes the organist fee, the clergy, the altar guild, and the actual church.

Wow! I was considering having my ceremony there and was quoted $900. I also wanted a church ceremony too. We actually went there to visit and spoke to Reverand. We ended up booking a church in White Plains and are paying $400.
