***Oh boy, I've done it again. FORGIVE ME! I didn't mean to say that the lesser priced dresses dont photograph well. I am actually considering getting the Maggie Sotero Victoriana. The fact that its affordable and gorgeous is a plus. Which prob. explains why my fam. is pissed at me that I still havent made up my mind.***
P.s. I really need to stop working and pay more attention to the LIW drama before they get out of hand.

I actually cannot believe i found teh dress of my dreams (posted on thread I GOT MY DRESS W/Pics) and it only cost me 1200 (not incl. alts). I know its phenominal! Especially since i really had no idea what to expect in prices. But i also knew that I could do without spending 4/5k Unless I really fell in love with it! BUT IM IN LOVE WITH A CASABLANCA! AHHHHHH

Re: How much is your wedding gown?
I got my dress for $800 and i'm so happy! I don't physically think I could have spent much more on a dress that I will only wear once. I shouldn't even go over 1000 with alterations because the dress fit me pretty well...i just hope when it gets closer they have to take it in!

I think in a way you get what you pay for. I think the quality of the dress shows in the pictures you take. Like I said before I never thought about spending 5K on my dress. I honestly only wanted to spend 2K. But after seeing and trying on the Eve of Milady and Amalia Carrara gowns, I don't think I can settle for anything less. My family keeps fighting w. me telling me to get a Maggie Sottero b.c they are very affordable...but I still havent made up my mind. I hate this!!

Maggie Sottero dresses are great quality dresses and they are quite affordable! I definitely dont think the maggie sottero quality would look poor in pictures at all..they are stunning.

Re: How much is your wedding gown?
Im up there in price as well. I have an Platinum for POB gown as well. I went way over budget, buts its the gown that I wanted and that was that. I've always wanted a gown designed by Kenneth Pool, so when I found it, it was a wrap.
If I found something cheaper that I loved as much as I loved this one I would have gotten it. Im a believer in you don't have to spend a fortune to fine something georgous.

I don't neccessarily agree with this. I don't think just because I don't spend 2 grand on my dress that it's not going to look good in my pics...just my opinion tho

Re: How much is your wedding gown?
First off, I don't believe the more money you spend on the dress the better quality or more beautiful it is. I've seen some heinous dresses that are very expensive. If you love your dress and you feel beautiful in it, that's all that should matter. Not who makes it, or how much it costs. With that being said, my dress was $300. It's beautiful and I feel like a princess in it.

Re: How much is your wedding gown?
I have no idea yet what I am spending. I want a Melissa Sweet dress, but they are a bit pricey so I am shopping the sample sales. I also don't really agree that you get what you pay for. Of course there are some cheap looking dresses, but you can also find very nice dresses that photograph well for less that $1000. Every dress is different. It is all about how the dress makes the person feel.

Let me start by saying Im not starting an arguement with you Mrs.Larrea2B.. what Im about to say is meant to be helpful in the long run....
I'm sure that your post was not meant to offend anyone however, I hope you can imagine what saying something like this would make people who did not spend a fortune on their dress feel. Yes it is an open forum where we can all share our opinions, but I strongly suggest you begin to think before you post, if you intend on being an active and supportive member on this board. As this has not been the first time you have made controversial comments like this...
Just trying to be helpful.... no offense at all...

Very Well Said. You can apply 'you get what you pay for' when you buy a replica of something that does turn out to good. But if you by gown from a designer that does have a high selling price that does not mean you are not getting good quality gown. At one point in time years ago those POB and Kenneth Pool gowns were not selling for the retail price they are selling now.
