How much is your wedding gown?

Original post by MrsLarrea2B

***Oh boy, I've done it again. FORGIVE ME! I didn't mean to say that the lesser priced dresses dont photograph well. I am actually considering getting the Maggie Sotero Victoriana. The fact that its affordable and gorgeous is a plus. Which prob. explains why my fam. is pissed at me that I still havent made up my mind.***

P.s. I really need to stop working and pay more attention to the LIW drama before they get out of hand.

I think in a way you get what you pay for. I think the quality of the dress shows in the pictures you take. Like I said before I never thought about spending 5K on my dress. I honestly only wanted to spend 2K. But after seeing and trying on the Eve of Milady and Amalia Carrara gowns, I don't think I can settle for anything less. My family keeps fighting w. me telling me to get a Maggie Sottero b.c they are very affordable...but I still havent made up my mind. I hate this!!

Christ almighty! You are a snob!

Sh*t, I can say things that can come across as the wrong way but you just do it all the damn time!!!!!

PS. Did anyone see the platinum wedding at the Brownstone on WE with the bride in a 10K sweater top dress- point proven!

That's what I was saying about Kleinfeld's dresses. Disgusting.

Now wait a minute. We are giving this girl sh*t for saying that cheap dresses are tacky but what about the girls that purchased their dream dresses at Kleinfelds? That's not fair. Making fun of any dress is tacky.

I agree.... even if we don't like someone else's dress, that doesn't mean it isn't actually that girl's dream dress and she loved it the second she tried it on. A friend of mine got married a year or so ago and I personally thought her dress was pretty blah and wasn't too flattering, but I kept that opinion to myself because she absolutely loved the dress and she looked so happy in it! And if that was the dress that spoke to her, the same way my dress spoke to me, then who am I to judge what it looked like or how much it cost her????

I agree we should all be supportive of each other and keep comments that can be hurtful to others to ourselves

Honestly everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but there is no reason to get nasty on here. I understand that people have been offended by her posts in the past, but I don't think calling someone idiotic is really helping with all the drama.

Sometimes it is just classier to be the better person and ignore or to agree to disagree.

I agree that it is fun to see how much people are paying, no need to get defensive or rude.

Larrea seriously do yourself a favor and either 1. watch what you say and how you say it...

(Its complete BS that a dress is gonna photograph different in pics... The only thing I will say is that I think its the type of material that photographs differently... I bet you that you couldn't even pick out a cheap v expensive one in a lineup)

or 2. make yourself a new screenname or else no1 is going to want to respond ot your posts anymore...

I really honestly can say, that I dont understand you in the least bit... Funny how you disappear after you write something idiotic...

I agree with everything you just said. Its just rediculous that everything Larrea posts seems ok at first but then its turns negative with a later post.

I agree also. I just got on here and was reading this thinking ...Gee she hasnt written on this post since things have heated up ....HHHMMM once again just sitting back reading what everyone has to write and then she'll come on tomorrow to say she is sorry...bla bla bla... All I know is I paid what I paid for my dress and I am going to look good NO MATTER WHAT!!!

Oh boy, I've done it again. FORGIVE ME! I didn't mean to say that the lesser priced dresses dont photograph well. I am actually considering getting the Maggie Sotero Victoriana. The fact that its affordable and gorgeous is a plus. Which prob. explains why my fam. is pissed at me that I still havent made up my mind. I obviously need to work on what I write and 'how' I word things. But ladies please stop taking things out of context. I am not out to hurt anyone or insult anyone.

You always seem to get 'taken out of context'. I think you need to really start watching how you talk to people. This seems to happen time and time again with you. I don't see many other peoples posts on the 09 boards 'getting taken out of context'. The post was going fine and noones feelings were getting hurt until your comment. It seems like you get way too much satisfaction in trying to hurt other people.

Just playing devil's advocate here, because I don't really want to take anyone's side or anything...BUT perhaps everyone just feels that Larrea's comments are taken out of context because of her past track record. If someone who never was a 'drama llama' before had made a comment like that, maybe it would have been ignored, or not really taken in a negative way....I don't know...maybe not though

Anyway...can't we all just get along????

I thought I was the only one that caught that. Most seems to expect Mrs Larrea to say something offensive but another bride says the dresses from a store that A LOT of brides bought there dress from are 'disgusting' and it gets looked over.
