I know almost everyone gets 12 weeks of FMLA paid or unpaid, but what else do you get? Do you have to use your sick time and vacation time in order to get paid while you are out?

we are ttc so I just looked in to this...I am a .6 reading teacher .....I do not get ANYTHING..I do not qualify for FMLA either.....it really stinks...

6 weeks disability pay ( 75% of my salary) and 6 weeks unpaid fmla. I can use my vaca during that time but we can olnly take 12 weeks off total.

You just reminded me I have to make an appointment with HR... From what I heard its 6 weeks paid plus my vacation, which is 24 days. After I use up that, I would have to go on the 12 FML which is unpaid.

We get 6 weeks paid (100% salary) and can take an additional 6 weeks paid/unpaid due to FMLA. I will be using my vacation, sick, floating holidays, etc. to be able to get the additional 6 weeks paid. I have to return to work after 12 weeks or they don't have to hold my job for me...

They just changed our policy from 6 weeks tot 13 weeks maternity 100% pay. I can then take an additinal 12 weeks FMLA. If I take the additional 12 weeks I have to use vacation/personal/sick time first which for me equals 5 weeks. I can take an unpaid leave of abscence and they will hols my job (maybe not exact position) for 2 years.

I got 12 weeks from my job, 6 weeks disability ($170/week-taxed of course!) No other money, had to save it to stay home for the 12 weeks.

I'll get 6 weeks of parental leave and 3 weeks of vacation at my full salary. Plus another 3 weeks unpaid under FMLA. So I will be out for a total of 12 weeks.

OMG it went from 6 to 13 weeks!!! Thats amazing!!! You must be sooo excited!
