Re: How much should a DJ cost?
We went with a basica package, just 4 hours of music for a little under $700.

Our package is $2500, but we had to buy extra lighting cuz there was only one type of lighting available, so that ended up tacking on another $1000.
Well, looking at everyone else's posts, I guess we got kinda jipped huh?

got all the added live elements a singer and calipso band for CH and the lights. I also got the mega light show ,plasmas and photo montage they will also do snap shots which they will play though out my reception. We are also geting a copy of the picts on a cd and the music they play at the wedding on a CD....all for a whopping $5,000 ...not sure if we are suckers for paying that ?

Re: How much should a DJ cost?
At every bridal showcase I went to I saw either Tommy Tunes and/or Long Island Sound. Both companies were offering basic package of DJ & MC for CH & reception for $1500. I shopped around and got a much lower price that also included my ceremony.
