Should I feel bad if the bridesmaid dresses I like cost around $200 (more if you add tax and alterations)? None of my bridesmaids have very much money but I had a vision for the dresses i like and only saw it at one store .... is $200-ish bad?

i found my dress at a bridal salon, price shopped, and ordered it from netbride.com Get a price quote from them. Everything was GREAT. FM me if you have any questions.

Mine are $180...I dont think $200 is bad. I think most BMs expect to pay around that much.

I feel like it is pushing it a little, because then they also have alterations. My bridesmaid dresses cost $115 without alterations, but they all got $20 off because I had gotten my wedding dress there. Keep shopping around for deals or see if you can get a group rate for the dresses. This is just my opinion though.

i dont think 200 is horrible at all, i think thats pretty average
my dresses are 245 but i get a 20% discount, but doesnt include taxes or alterations.... i asked my bms if this was ok and they all agreed

I've been in a wedding where after all was said and done it was around 380 for the dress. A little much I thought. I am trying to stay a little under 200 for my girls.

with a steep discount from the bridal store mine came to $156. I said for day one I wasn't going over $200 not including tax+ alterations. Ally my BM's thought that was very fair.
Why not just talk to them about it first. If they seem iffy about spending that much try and look for something cheaper. Plus usually when you get their dress where you buy your own you get money off all of the dresses

if ure grls dont have much money to spend on dresses then i think $200 might be asking too much. my grls are paying $150 plus any alterations they might need... i also didnt want them to be paying a lot for a dress, so i thought this was reasonable.

our dresses are 180$ plus alt.... i talked to my girls and they were ok with this price so we went for it!

I ordered my dress from wedding salon of manhasset...they offer 20% off for your bridesmaid dresses if you got your wedding dress there...it could turn a $200 dress to a $160 dress...it also makes you seem concerned about your bm's saving money

$200 is the highest I will go. Don't forget that alterations will cost them about $50-75 on top of that.

mine will be $225 with alterations and tax...we are having them made up. I asked my bridal party and they thought it was fine since it includes everything and it's a dress they are making based on their own style they choose so at least they will be happy with the dress in the end.
