It really depends on what you're looking for as bands range from $3k - $12k and more. It goes by how many pieces, who the band is, etc.

Maybe you could provide more info?

I don't really know that much about bands but I guess a 5-7 piece band would be fine, with a Sinatra or Parisian type of feeling.

I don't know, honestly. You could budget $5k...but you should really go to a bunch of band showcases to get a feel for what you like and want.

(sorry if I wasn't too helpful!)

ETA: we're spending $6300 for a 9pc but only b/c we got a deal...otherwise it would have been about $2k more.

I am spending around 8k.... but I did see bands for less 5500.

our band was about $5000
i think that's on the lower end.....they can get much much higher
i'd suggest going to different showcases and seeing what you like. then you can see what fits into your budget

I would say between 5k-8k should get you a good band. We are paying around 5500 but the band we got I think is just as good as many in the 7-10k range. Just do a lot of research and go hear as many as you can.

I would say between $5-8k as well. We are paying $6100 for our 9 pc band.
There are some really great bands out there, you just need to see them showcase

im using the projekt. they are part of soundcheck entertainment. they have a lot fo showcases that im sure you can go see, plus theyll show you a video of them. they were only 5K and honestly, i love them! its a seven piece band

ok...WAIT.....i got a 5-piece band and a DJ for 4500. this also included a piano and violin for cocktail hour and trumpets at my church.
i dealth with ernie from 4-star entertainment.
he was very helpful and sounded great.

My cousin just used Heart and Soul (from Franklin Wayne Music) and paid just under $6000 for them. They really made the whole party, and I believe that included the cocktail hour also. I am just getting started, so I will go see them showcase this week (If I can) and also my friend at work loves another one of their bands,called Timepiece and I am going to see them at the Watermill tomorrow nite. (I think they are even less money).
