My bf wants me to make her pocketfold invitations for wedding, and she told me she was going to pay for the supplies and my work but I dont know what to charge? Do you think 2.00 each for the pocketfold, inserts, invitation is to much?

No, not at all...i contacted some professional people to do mine and they were going to charge between $10 and $15 per invite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is the 2 dollars what you would charge for just the labor?
Just make sure that you know ahead of time exactly what she wants and maybe make a sample so that you can be sure that you are aware of all the work it will entail.
$2 for labor seems pretty reasonable

I would say like between $4-$5. Definitely make one up exactly how she wants it and then decide. I think $2 is awful generous!!!!

2 for everything seems like you are cutting it really close to having to pay out of pocket for a lot of it.
Spend about 30 bucks and get sample papers, ribbons etc. You can mock-up one invite (giving people a lot of options will just make more work for yourself) and if she asks for something different (like metallic paper) then price it all out.
I've done a crapton of freelance work (design/art) and I can't stress enough how important it is to make sure that your time and money budget is realistic. Otherwise you end up spending 5 bucks an invite and a billion hours and you get reimbursed for not even half?
You could always say that this is your wedding gift to her if you are feeling bad about charging her

I'm making mine, and without labor it's still going to cost at least $3.50 per invite. It's great that you want to help, but be sure you don't have to dip in your own pocket to do it

$2.00 is way too little for labor and all expenses. I would either charge $4-5 (including labor and all expenses) OR I would have her purchase all the supplies and then charge $2.00.
Don't forget that you're going to need to purchase glue, ink, etc. (I forgot about the little stuff and it adds up).

Well there are some for Ebay which includes everything for $2.50 each. So maybe for a friend $2 isn't too much.
