I was just talking to FI and I asked him how much we are going to give to a couple getting married next month at Villa lombardis. He said $150. He is in the wedding party and the groom is my FI's best man. I think we should give a little bit more - like $250. Not that $250 is a lot either, but we have our own wedding we are stuggling to pay. What do you guys think?

I agree with you. If you are able to, I'd give a little more. If you can't, then I'm sure your friends will understand since you have your own wedding coming up.

Considering that the groom is your FH's best man I would say $250. At the very least $200 - but $250 would be best.

If it were up to me I would give $300, but I know my FI will have a cow if I even mention it. So I figured I'd be safe with $250. I feel bad though, because I know they are paying about $140 p/p

$250.00 min. only because he is in the party. Inless.... he had a lot to pay for. Did or will it cost alot for the Btch pty? Was the tux rental $$$? If all that was $$$ I would consider giving a little less like $175 or $200

Just because they are paying $140 a plate doesn't mean you have to cover that. If you were able to afford to I would say go for it, but since you can't at this point, I would give as much as you could afford to. I think $250 should be fine and it's only $30 less than they're paying.

i would not feel bad i am paying more then $140 and don't expect to get that back from people in my wedding party or guests. i think $250 is perfect
