How much should I spend on a bridesmaid gift?

How much should I spend on a bridesmaid gift?

I'm having a very small beach wedding with just 2 bridesmaids. My parents paid for my shower and I'm not having a traditional bach party, so they won't have to pay for anything besides their dress (which was $150).

I was thinking of getting them both $50 gift cards to spafinder.com. Is $50 enough to spend?
(My fiance and I are also helping pay for some of the wedding, so that's why I don't want to spend too much, but I don't want $50 to look too cheap).

TIA.

I think you should do what you can afford and you are comfortable with. If you can swing a little more go for it, but if not, your friends are going to be completely understanding.

I spent about $100 on my bridesmaids and $75 on the groomsmen. I have 8 of each. We spent a lot of money, maybe even too much. I have seen a lot of girls on here spend a lot more than me and sometimes I felt like oh no I need to spend more but really spend whatever you can afford. No matter what you give, your bridal party will love it!

Do what you can afford...maybe the gift card and a little something else that is sentimental.

I pushed my budget with the bridesmaids. I ended up spending $100 each (7 bridesmaids and 3 flowergirls all are getting the same gift so $1000 all together) and looking at how much money I still need to save before the wedding I wonder if I spent a little too much. Some people spend a lot more than I did, some a lot less.

It completely depends on what works for you.

If you go to Costco you can get a great deal on spafinders GC's.....spend $80 and get $100.00(you get 2 -50's). so if you decide to only give $50's you save 20 bucks,or if it feels better to give them $100 GC each you don't have to spend that much to give that much. Its a great deal.

i went to coach outlet this weekend and got such a great deal. spent $160 TOTAL and got 3 bags for my bridesmaids. big sales and 20% off of that. then i had a coupon for an add 20% off purchase. bags ended up costing me $50 eachh.

I think you should do whatever you're able to do... If you can't spend more they'll understand!!! I would def. give them something a little sentimental, or something that they can wear on the wedding day (if you can swing it!).

I went wayyy overboard on my girls because I know that they (well, some of them) have for me. I keep picking stuff up-- I really need to stop, but I can't!!

I have 5 BMs and got them all of this (some pics are in my album):

oversized gold coach wristlet- $40 each
pink VS 'Team Bride' bling tank- $8 each
clinique goldspun lipgloss- $15 each
clinique bonus bag full of goodies- $0!
cream colored pashminas- $6 each
brown canvas personalized totes- $9 each
doj (I'm making it myself)- $32 each

eek... I didn't realize just how much I spent until just now!!!!

For the 5 GMs we got them each a Guess watch for $75

I'm planning on spending anywhere from $100-$125 on each BM and a little extra something for the MOHs. Can quite decide what I want to do, but that's my budget I'm working with.

Unfortunately we're paying for the whole wedding ourselves and have a large WP, so we'll probably be spending somewhere from $50-$70. Maybe rather than a gift card, get them something unique for each of them. That way even if it's not an extravagant gift, at least it's from the heart.

I think you should do what you can afford, but maybe get them something other then a gift card. You can always find amazing bargins and no one will know what you spent. This way you wont have to worry about what you spend.

I know thats not what it is all about but people always have something to say.
