For those of you who made your own pocketfold invites, how much did you spend? Did you find it was more cost effective or would you have been better off purchasing regular invites from a stationer?
My FH and I figured it is going to cost us around $500 to purchase and print everything...

Re: How much should you spend on DIY invites?
How many invites are you talking? For 100 invites i paid almost 200 dollars between invites, reception cards, and shipping/handling for the free sample paper i ordered. I'm not sure how much it will be adding the 5 spools of ribbon I bought, envelope, and ink.

I spent about 350 to make our DIY invites...I probably saved a lot, but I didn't price them out. I just wanted mine done a certain way, so I made them
I paid about 500 for everything, but I bought extra paper b/c I want to do menu cards and fans :)

Wooo I am way under anyone else....
I think about 100-150 for everything including ink and stamps BUT ours are very very simple. We just bought those DIY packages-2-and we got em on sale so was about 30 dollars. Plus ink, ribbon and the flowers we added on to imbellish. So for 100 invites..abotu 150 dollars.

We spent about 600 for 160 invites but they were kind of intricate. Priced them out and would have cost us about $1100-1300 for what we wanted.

we will be paying just under $400. If we had it done for us it would be over $1000

Re: How much should you spend on DIY invites?
I paid 30 for my invites alone without reception cards or response cards. LCIpaper.com sells invites in bulk you can print on your own that are moderately priced. Mine were 16 bucks each package of 50 once i ordered 2 packages or more.

Over 600 for 200 invites. If I had this done in the store it would be over 2,000.
