How much spending money do I need for HM?
We leave for Sandals Grande St. Lucian on Tuesday and I have no idea how much spending money we will need? Any ideas? Should I get some in travelers checks? Thanks.

Since its all inclusive, you probably dont need food $. But if you do a lot of excursions outside the resort, I would bring extra since they aren't covered. Call your travel agent and see what things cost locally, and if you have any specific restaurants you would like to go to- check out their website or call about prices. That kind of thing. Hope that helps!
You don't really need cash. Everything can be charged to the room or on a credit card. If you do excursions you can charge it as well as golf. If you go off the resport shopping you can use credit cards at most mainstream stores. I think we brought a total of $300 total on our HM at St. Lucia We left with money. Side note: Take the helicopter ride between the Piton Mountains
If you are going to all inclusive then you don't really need much cash. I would just take a couple of hundred cash and bring a cc that you can just charge stuff. CC are easier if the country has it's currency in terms worrying about the exchange rates. You'll probably only need cash for tipping or cabs.
ohh tahts where we are going....let us know how it went! congrats in advance
Not sure about the amount but I wouldn't bring too much cash. Not really for safety issues but more for exchange rates. You'll get killed in the exchange. Charge everything you possibly can - your credit card companies (and bank, if debiting) will charge the average exchange rate applicable during your billing period. This will save you big time.
When you are in a foreign country... definitely try to pay for everything with a credit card. You will get the best exchange rates that way... and its usually the most convinient.
Like someone else mentioned, it really depends if you're planning on doing excursions or going to to eat. If you guys are planning on just relaxing at the resort, $300 should be more than enough. If you're going to be out and about, I would budget more like $1000. Either way, charge what you can, just have cash for people like taxi drivers.
Good question...we are not all inclusive, and we are brining $2000.
