How much thought are you putting into Bridesmaid dresses?

This may be a ridiculous question for some... IDK.

Here are my thoughts/questions:

If you're wearing a satin dress are your BM dresses satin?

If your dress is strapless are you choosing a dress with straps, halter, etc?

So my questions are, I guess, are you differentiating your dress style from the BM dresses?

Do you prefer short to long for any special reason?

I've always wanted chiffon BM dresses, and my dress is satin and has lace on it, but I occasionally see a nice satin one- pretty sure im still going to go with chiffon- but im wondering how everyone is going about picking these out. Is it random, you see it and you like it, is what you always envisioned (like me & chiffon), or is more thought based on (like a nice contrast from your dress)???

we were talking about the BM dresses last night and i mentioned how i have no clue what i am going to do. all my girls are totally different, body wise, skin coloring and height. my FH told me im over thinking it.

im just totally clueless as to their dresses.....
