How much time?

How much time?

do RHs normally leave btwn weddings? My RH has a wedding ending at 4:00 before mine (They originally LIED to me and told me in was a business lunch when I booked ) and said my ceremony could start at 5:30 with a 5:00 invitation. . now after talking with one of my vendors I am thinking there is NO way they can break down the other wedding and give my band, and flowers time to set up for my wedding in time - PLUS my florist is my friend and I want her to be at the ceremony and CH not setting up flowers. . so what do you think - should I push my wedding back? it is on a sunday night too if that matters. .

TIA

i'll be honest with you and say that an RH usually sets up the hour before, thats when most of it gets done lol. They say to brides not to see the room ahead of time bc they would probably freak out about how they are going to get it done in time. But RH's are used to it and work very quickly

You said your ceremony is at 5:30 so guests wouldn't even go into the reception room until a bit after, im guessing CH is also in another room. If so they have plenty of time to set it up. If your CH at 6pm? if so then guests dont go into the room until 7pm so keep that in mind

Dont worry about it, this is what they do for a living and this is something they do ALL the time and know how to handle it.

My friend got married at the Fox Hollow and where her reception was another wedding was having their cocktail hour. They started 30 min before hers and they had everything I mean everything set up. You would of never known another party was in the room before we got there.

thanks - yes the CH is in another room but the only thing is ceremony is where the reception will be - I think they close off part of it to set up, but assume they won't be doing it during the cermony b/c it would make noise and the band doesn't want to be setting up during CH - they wanted to do it before. . I guess I'll just check in with the RH again - I just don't want to appear to be Bridezilla-y. .

i know its hard but leave that part up to the RH and dont stress about it.

I remember when i first visited my RH, there was a wedding that night and everyone was at CH and thats when they were putting everything up. They work insanely quick hahaha. Also i was a bm in my friends wedding and after the ceremony i walked by the room and they were just starting to set up as we were walking to CH.

Even for my e-party, i had all the flower arrangements, and favors. Well i had flowers but dh didnt tell me my uncle put the vases in my parents car. My parents showed up 10 mins before the party and i was about to lose it. The RH worked so quick and put up 16 cp's, and put all the favors in front of each place setting in 10 mins lol.

my FH works for a DJ company - sometimes they get there and have to wait for the other party to end - or wait for the other DJ to get out so they can start setting up their equipment - it happens a lot - trust me, they will have time....ive visited him at work while they are setting up and you see the florist come in, you see them set the tables, put all the stuff out - its their job, its always done in time.....and yes it looks like a DISASTER while they are setting up - especially DJ equipment - you would die if you saw what it looks like when they start unloading - especially if you have lighting and TVs
