Between the Church and the Reception Hall? My Church is at 4 :00 (probably will be over by 5:00) and then my reception does not start until 7:00pm. I hope that this isn't too much time for my guests to get annoyed!! I figure wedding is on a Thursday so will be traffic and not everyone will make church anyway (so want late reception time). Also, will be a lot of out of town guests so want to give them time to go to hotel to grab shuttle so dont drink and drive :)

Re: How much time are you giving gifts..
whats the distance between your church and hall? How much time do you think that would kill in between?
It's great that you will have time to take pics before getting to the reception hall, but I would ask the hall if they will have something set up for guests who get there early. Or I would suggest a bar/cafe for guests to go to in the local area if they want to kill some time. Thats just my opinion.

Re: How much time are you giving gifts..
my church starts at 2, with a full mass so we probably wont be done until 3-3:15pm. we are taking pics near the verrazano bridge so we'll be on the road about 4:30-5pm. we are approx. 40-60 mins away. our CH starts at 7pm.
you could ask the hotel for OOT guests to host a hospitality hour or something.

our church is 2:30 - till lets say 3:30/4 and Ch starts at 7:30 church brooklyn - RH Carle Place we're renting a little catering hall across the street from the church from 4-6 for people to gather and snack on something, have a drink, adn then wait for the buses to pick them up to drive them to LI
