How much time are you taking off?

I am debating whether 2 take the week of the wedding off, & 2 weeks after...what is everyone doing??

ill be out of work for almost a month....but thats cuz we live in fl n are doing the wedding up here. a lot more last min runnin around then everyone else

i started a new job today, upon the condition that I could take our two weeks scheduled honeymoon. At most I will be able to take off the day before.

Teacher -- so I'm off 21/2 weeks before and a month and a half after!
I don't get why all teachers don't have summer weddings! This girl I work with is stressing because she wants to ask for a week off in the middle of March!

hey ladies! just wanted to give you guys a word of advice (well, it worked for me). if you have the time TAKE IT! you will never have a time when people at work will be more understanding, and it was really nice to have 4 days off before the wedding and 2 days off when we returned from the honeymoon to really relax, get back into the swing of things, and have a little more time to bask in that newlywed glow

seriously, if you can, do it - it was soooo worth it, even if it means i can't take another vacation until april.

I totally agree!!!! I NEEDED that week before the wedding to relax and do stuff... I was so busy and excited that week, I can't imagine how I would have been if I'd had to work.

Im getting married on a Friday so my last day is the Friday before that and then I have the entire week after off for our honeymoon. And I go back to work on the Tuesday. So in all it's about 2 1/2 weeks.

My summer job has a pre-set end date of Aug 8th -- we picked our wedding date for a reason

I'll probably fly back to NY that weekend, and then I'll have a full week off before the wedding. FH will probably take off Friday the 15th to fly out here, our rehearsal dinner is the 16th and the wedding is the 17th!

We're cutting it close when we get back though. We're aiming to get back from our honeymoon on the 24th, and I will start class on the 25th.

There's a chance we might come back the 25th, but then I'd have to miss school and FH miss work, so we're trying to avoid it.

We had to decide between me having a week off before the wedding or an extra week off after, and decided it was probably better to have the week off before.

Someone else in the same boat as me! We're taking our honeymoon 3 months after our wedding so that I dont have to take a semester leave.

I'm getting married on a Friday, but live out of state, so the last day I'll work is Tuesday and I'll fly up that night. We're taking our honeymoon Sunday to Sunday (1 week) and I'll return to work the Tuesday after that.

The schools have vacation the whole week off before my wedding so I really lucked out but I think I am also going to take off that Monday after the wedding.
