How much time are you taking off?

I am debating whether 2 take the week of the wedding off, & 2 weeks after...what is everyone doing??

None!!! I only get TWO personal days at Suffolk, so we're going on our honeymoon in January! I'm hoping for Tues/Thurs classes in the fall, this way I can be off Fri-Mon at least.

at my job we can take our overtime as leave or pay so i'm stocking up a lot of time right now. I plan on taking the week before the wedding and two following.

I may or may not be still working w/ the agency after the wedding since we're supposed to be moving so I may make the day I come back my last one so I get a check...scandalous! lol

I’m quitting my job in a month, then going to Sweden and coming back here 2 months before the wedding. I probably won’t get a job in those 2 months, so that’s my time off!

I think I'll take a couple of days off before and then a week for the honeymoon and maybe more...I have family coming in from France who I see about once every 3 years so I need time to spend with them too...????? I guess I'll decide as it gets closer

My wedding is a Sunday so I'll probably work til thurs-friday. Then I'll take off till June 9 so thats like 2 weeks off.

I think a week off before the wedd or like 5 days is sufficient

My wedding is on a Saturday, so I am probably going to take Thurs-Fri and then the following week (FH only gets 5 vaca days a year and we have a dog to board, our Hm will be only a week long). We are getting back from our hm on a Sat. I think, I may take that monday too if I have the time ... if not, I may only take Fri. so I can take Mon.

I wanted to take like 2 weeks off...but I will be JUST starting a new job...so I have to see what they are willing to give me!

Same here.....I think taking two weeks off with a new job is going to be hard. I am getting married on a Saturday, so i am going to take off the thursday and friday before and then only 6 more days. If i were to stay at my current job i could take the time...but with something new....i doubt I will be able to take more then that.

i can take as much time as i want, i work with FH, and it doesnt matter since he is the boss, i dont have a set amount of time.

FH and I both work in schools so we have July and August off.

Hmmm.... I havent thought about that but a full time week is 3 days so if I work the begining of the week I can save my vacation time for after. Sometimes it's a whole big to do to take more than a week off at a time but usually they are understanding for big things like weddings. Also I'm in the fall and the summer. During the summer when everyone wants off it can be an issue for coverage for us but in the fall it's not as much of an issue.

But, I can work the begining of the week I can still have wed-sat off before my sunday wedding with out using any time.
