How much time do you really need to over BM dresses??
HEy Ladies...
Question, I'm getting married 08/30/08...when do you think is the right time to order BM dresses?? I was thinking Jan....so that way it is after all the holiday craziness!!!
The stores always tell you to order them right away, but i wanted to get our thoughts!

That will be plenty of time! Most designers have them in in a few weeks.

I would call the store and ask them how long the order will take. My order is going in the end of Nov and they will be coming in around March. That gives us 4 months until the wedding just in case. I think Jan. will be ok but check with the store.

RK bridal rushed for me and my sister when we were bridesmaids last year. It only took 6 weeks. We took them to a local seamstress for alterations which only took a few days. Same at David's Bridal.

I was told certain designers take 3 months. If you do it in Jan you will have plenty of time

It really depends on the designer/store.
Other than MOH my girls haven't ordered dresses. I think everyone is pretty much going in November. If you go to someplace like Davids Bridal it may take less than a month to come in.

Ok good.....yeah I'm going to ask, but I didn't want to be pressed into making a decision...i'm still not sure what BM dresses I want, so I wanted to give myself time to still look around. I was thinking like the frist or second weekend in Jan was plenty of time...thxs ladies
