Ok, we want to try to visit 3 RH's next weekend..Fox Hollow, Crest Hollow and Larkfield Manor. I'm trying to divide up the potential RH's by location. How long does each visit take generally? Do we need appointments or can we just stop by?

It's best to have appts. It's hard to go to a place without an appt because there's usually a party going on and you need an available BM to show you around. I would totally make appts... esp for a weekend day.
also, in my experience each one took about an hour. They show you all around then sit with you in a room to go over possible menu's and their food choices then they go over prices and if they offer packages etc.
We were able to do 2 to 3 in 1 day... but no more than 3. It gets tireing.
Oh and at first we felt uncomfortable... but get drinks while you do it... makes the whole experience a little better.
I personally had fun RH shopping.. but FH and MOH didn't. they just wanted me to find a place already. I liked seeing them all! I was a little discouraged though... I was thinking that it was going to take forever to find the right place! But I did eventually!

I recommend making an appointment. I guess the time depends on how long you stay asking questions and chatting with the BM. Most of mine took around 45 mins. to an hour. The ones that I was really interested in might have taken a bit longer.
Ok I made an appointment with Crest Hollow at 11 and with the Fox Hollow at 12. Does that sound feasible? They only seemed to do appointments on the hour and if I scheduled them 2 hours apart, that would leave us with time to do nothing. Any thoughts?

Sounds good. You'll want to keep the first one to about 45 minutes so you have time to say goodbye and get to the next one. They're not far apart though. You shouldn't have a problem.

Sounds good. Plus you'll have some buffer time for travel.
Remember, its YOUR choice how long you want to stay there and be honest with these BMs and let them know you have an appt at a diff RH.

It completely depends...I will say that when we went to see Larkfield, we were there for literally 2 full hours. However, it was the first RH we visited, so I had my list of like 50 questions, and I went though each and every one of them. Most of the others took about an hour though.

hmmm it really depends....when we made our appt we made them 2 hrs apart...some we were in for 20 min some over an hour...
