I am trying to coordinate everything for the morning of my wedding, as far as what time I should have my hair and makeup done, so that we have enough time to take pictures before the wedding. For those of you who have already been married, how long did it take to do all the portraits prior to the wedding. Why do I have the feeling that I'm going to be waking up at 3am, and thats if I actually get any sleep at all!!!

Re: How much time for pictures?
I second this request. I am up during the night trying to organize this in my head. We are doing pix between ceremony and reception - during the cocktail hour. Anybody that can tell me how long those pix will take? It's just the immedate family and that's it. I will have a list and hope to have my BM 's organize everybody...There's just so much to think about with timing

Re: How much time for pictures?
A photogragpher told me it would be a good idea to some pics before the ceremony and that would make you feel less rushed. But most brides dont want the FIH to see them before walking down the aisle, but its a suggestion!!
I'm taking most of my pictures before. my photographer said 1 hour to 1 1/2. He is coming at 10...ceremony is at 12:30 (but we have to do a quick run through at 12, I think)

Hi Octobergirl. I have been reading your messages and figure I should start replying. I copied your name since I am getting married at Carlyle too but in November. It is a Sunday afternoon (1130a invites, 12n ceremony)and I am also freaking out about how early I'll need to be there. The photographer tells me the earlier the better so I am going to try to be ready no later than 930a for pictures. The hair and makeup people will have to get to the place about 7a since I want to get dressed there. By the way, do you have hair and makeup people yet?

Re: How much time for pictures?
We are doing pics before, but I was told that they can be done in as little as 15-20 minutes for portraits of me and my fi, and they might take some of me getting dressed in the bridal suite. They are not taking pics of hair/makeup. So, I am safe with allowing 1 hour. Also, we have not bridal party, and the flower girls and family/friends pics will be done later. So, I like the fact that my fi and I will have some time together before.

Hi Novembergirl! Welcome! Its nice to hear of other Carlyle brides on this board. I am going for a trial with my possible hair and makeup people in a couple of weeks. If they're any good, I will let you know. I know its going to be a very early morning for me too! I dont know if I will be getting made up at the Carlyle or at the salon.
Who are your other vendors so far?

Re: Novembergirl
My band is The Next Faze, the photographer and video will be Kornfeld Studios and the florist is Flowers by Burton. I am just starting to look for invitations and I can't believe you already got yours!
