for your bridesmaids to get their measurements done? I just want my girls to be able to get their dresses with enough time to get them altered and not stress out about it.
Is a week too short of a time to get something that takes 5 minutes done?
I felt like a crazy bride talking to one of my friends telling her she needs to get it done.

have you ordered them? actually i think you need the measurements to be able to order the right size so i would say about 4 months before the date.

you have to take in consideration alteration time on top of ordering time. So you should get it done by the end of this month for your June wedding! I gave my girls a month and half to get their measurements.

We ordered the BM dresses 6 months in advance. I'd rather have more time than have to worry...

I would say that 2-4 weeks AFTER THEY'VE COME IN.....is fine.....their dresses are not as elaborate as yours. You wouldnt' want them to go too early b/c if they gain/lose weight they'll have to have them re-ftted and that is more $. Better that they just do it 1-2 times closer to the wedding

The order for my dresses willbe going out this weekend. I would give them a date to get it done by this way there is no question about when the order went out, etc.

most stores told me that it takes 12 weeks for a dress to come in.

I was getting a little worried because I want to give them enough time to get them altered if they need to be. So, I figured the dresses should all be ordered by this monday. The thing is, I had only asked two of my bridesmaids right before Christmas and then they went away on long vacations. So they only really have a week to get their measurements done. Am I not giving them enough time? Should I just order the dresses at the end of January?

Trying to get my girls there was the battle. The measurements themselves take less than 5 minutes. My friend made a day of it and had all the girls get measured then she took them to lunch. I have 2 in NY and 3 in FL, so it was tough. But I ordered them and they come in, in March

not sure on time, but i think you need at least 6months to order the dress and then when they come in, i would gather your girls and go for measurements!!!!
you dont want to get them measured to soon either!!
