my friend is getting married in Mexico next month.......we obviously can't make it

I am sending her a card today, how much should I give?

from people not coming to our wedding we got anywhere from $50-$200. I think the norm was $100.

i would say since its a good friend and you expect her coming to your wedding i would give $200

I think $200 is more then enough. If you were able to go you'd be giving less since it's a destination wedding and you'd have to take your travel expenses into consideration.

you can always buy somethign off the registry if you're not sure how much to give. that's what i usually do for weddings i don't attend.
