How much to give for a night wedding??

How much to give for a night wedding??

Suggestions please. Good friend, not in wedding party. I was thinking $250.00--wedding is in the Hamptons. Is that enough?

I always give depending on my relationship with the couple - it doesn't matter to me if they get married at 9am or at 7pm or if it's a ritzy hotel or a backyard. Give whatever you're comfortable giving.

I too give based on the couple's reltionship to me rather then on the location or the time of the wedding. IMO if someone decides to spend 200 pp, I shouldn't ahve to give a 400 gift to cover my and FH's plate.

I think 250 is a good gift, that is what I usually give.

that is how much i usually spend as well - $250 is fine.

$250 is very generous. If you are comfortable with it, then go for it.
