$50-60? I went to a shower and I got her a vase on her registry for that amount and then a few little odd & end extras to personalize the gift even more. I didnt feel it was cheap at all plus remember there is the wedding gift expense too.
I was just invited to a friend's bridal shower. She has a wide range of prices to spend for things on her registry. How much should I spend? I don't want to look cheap, but it's really my husband's friend's fiancee, and I have no idea how much to spend. It's been SO long since I've been to one, I have no idea what's expected of me (gift-wise). Thank you.

I agree - check w/your husband re: his comfort level and your budget.
Depending upon the prices of what she ordered, try to get her a set of something - groups are always key. It enables you to purchase the less expensive items but make more of a presentation. Know what I mean? A set of her towels, placemats & napkins (maybe not all 12, perhaps 6 of each?), dishtowels, hotmitts, table cloths.....
Our reception site recommended Body Rock and Ultimate Starlite. Haven't spoken with them yet but would welcome comments if anyone knows them.
